In order to install AudaxCeph on server and enable users to run it from any computer in the network, you need first to st up appropriate environment and then do the installation following the steps below.

(A) Environment setup

server

1. On the server create a shared folder with read and write permissions for all clients that will be running AudaxCeph

client

1. Download AudaxCeph installer from our cloud server or our website whichever works faster for you.
2. Install AudaxCeph on one of clients: follow the installation wizard to complete the installation.
3. When installation is complete do NOT run AudaxCeph.
4. Copy the licence file (AxCeph?.lic)* which is located in the installation folder into shared folder on server.

(B) AudaxCeph installation (1st client, product license key activation)

1. Navigate to the folder where you installed AudaxCeph and delete the AxCeph?.lic file located in this folder. (this step will prevent that in case user configuration files are compromised there will be no default licence in the folder and the user will need to select the server one, thus preventing potential licence conflicts)
2. Copy the entire Analyses and AnalysisTypes folder from the AudaxCeph installation folder to the shared folder on the server (which at this moment should only contain the licence file). This step is needed only once per location. Analyses folder contains the database and all related patient files. AnalysisTypes folder contains all the included analysis methods (Ricketts, Steiner, etc.)
3. Run AudaxCeph. If instructions have been followed to this point you should receive a dialog requesting to select a working licence file. Navigate to the shared server folder (using the UNC pathname** not mapped drives) and select the licence file. Once the licence file is selected AudaxCeph will start.
4. Run AudaxCeph on the client computer
5. Go to File->Configure to open AudaxCeph Settings and go to Files tab.
6. Change Analysis setting so it points to the AxPRS.mdb file on the shared server folder. Change Analysis type setting to use the AnalysisTypes folder on the shared server folder. Use UNC pathname and not mapped network drives.
7. Restart AudaxCeph.
8. Activate AudaxCeph.
9. Then attach other clients to the same license file (see below).

(C) Clients

1. Install AudaxCeph on another client
2. Delete the AxCeph?.lic file located in the installation folder.
3. Run AudaxCeph. If instructions have been followed to this point you should receive a dialog requesting to select a working licence file. Navigate to the shared server folder (and select the licence file. Once the licence file is selected AudaxCeph will request exit.
4. Restart AudaxCeph.
5. Go to File->Configure to open AudaxCeph Settings and go to Files tab.
6. Change Analysis setting so it points to the AxPRS.mdb file on the shared server folder. Change Analysis type setting to use the AnalysisTypes folder on the shared server folder. Use UNC pathname and not mapped network drives.
7. Restart AudaxCeph.
8. Do steps (C) on all clients

*AxCeph?.lic - questionmark is differs for different version of AudaxCeph. AxCeph6.lic is a default license file for version 6.
